Tiny hollow shaft actuator
Harmonic Drive has launched a new and unique range of miniature hollow shaft actuators, including what the company believes to be the world"s smallest servo actuator, capable of delivering 1.8Nm of torque from an integrated AC motor, gearbox and encoder that measures just 50mm3 in size and weighs 0.4kg.
Available in three gear sizes (8, 11 and 14) and with a choice of gear ratios (including a 30:1 ratio which Harmonic Drive says is the first of its kind to be achieved with a hollow shaft servo actuator), the FHA-C mini range has been developed for use in particularly demanding applications.
