Trackerballs are ideal for consoles and kiosks
CKS has launched a new range of high specification trackerballs, with quadrature and full protocol interface including PS/2 and USB, specifically intended for harsh industrial and commercial applications. The new CKS Trackerballs are available in a choice of 38mm and 50mm ball sizes, and offer total reliability across a wide range of harsh environments. For hygiene critical applications there is a stainless steel ball option. The trackerballs are sealed to IP65 (NEMA 4) against water and dust ingress, and are rugged enough to carry a full five year warranty.
Applications for the new trackerballs include: military; process and allied industries; multimedia; ultrasonic scanners; medical systems; automation and robotic control; and CAD/CAM stations. Console uses include audio/video, process and air traffic control. Other areas that will benefit from the new trackerballs include kiosk application in the transport, library, banking and other financial services.
The new trackerballs complete the full range of CKS HMI products that include rugged rugged industrial PCs and monitors, local area workstations, industrial sealed keyboards and key pads. CKS also offers a full customisation service including design and manufacture of individually specified products. All CKS products carry five year warranties.
