Ultra-compact low harmonics sensor technology opens-up new opportunities in factory automation

This new LowHarmonics encoder technology opens up new opportunities in drive technology and factory automation and thanks to its ultra-compact design with only 11mm installation depth, fits into applications where space is restricted. Furthermore, its multiple parameterisation options mean simple integration into existing automation environments.

This Baumer technology eliminates signal errors caused by installation, temperature, ageing or mechanical factors and therefore ensures maximum precision.

Additionally, this smart condition monitoring features an integrated airgap monitor which continuously detects the distance to the magnetic rotor and reports even the slightest non-compliance due to damaged machine mechanics to the higher-level control system.

The encoder operates on non-contact sensing and hence is free from wear, immune to shocks and shaft currents, resulting in maximum reliability in drive technology and factory automation.
