Versatile miniature couplings for a wide range of applications

Depending on the design, they are used in different areas such as tachometers, stepper motors, NC axes, potentiometers, robot drives, handling equipment, angle encoders or servo drives. They are available as bellows, elastomer or cross slide couplings and are attached to the shaft using a clamping ring or set screw.

Stainless steel variants and ATEX-certified versions are also available and can be used in environments with specific hygiene or explosion protection requirements.

As metal bellows couplings, the miniature couplings transmit high speeds without any play or maintenance. They are characterised by high torsional rigidity and low mass moment of inertia.

The compact elastomer miniature couplings are ideal for even larger shaft misalignments. They are pluggable, play-free and flexible, also have good vibration-damping behaviour and are electrically insulating. This also characterises the cross slide couplings, which, in addition to the short overall length, also offer a large displacement capacity and low restoring forces. Because the couplings can be plugged in, any combination of different bore diameters is possible.

In normal operation, the couplings are maintenance-free and when installed correctly, the JAKOB miniature couplings have an almost unlimited service life.
