Ixthus announce new ultrasonic sensors from Migatron

Ixthus announce new ultrasonic sensors from Migatron

Migatron has recently announced a two new sensor models aimed at proximity detection and displacement measurement tasks for production line applications such as high-speed counting, liquid level, and many other areas of process control. The low-cost LCU-40APW is a self-contained sensor with an operational range from 100 mm to 1 metre with an analogue output and pulse width output included – allowing use for either fixed, factory calibrated 250mV per inch measurement (analogue) or with time-of-flight measurement to determine distance (pulse width).

Cleanroom cables with the e-skin flat energy chain

Cleanroom cables with the e-skin flat energy chain

The e-skin flat single pods from Igus consist of individually connectable cable chambers. One or more cables can be inserted into these chambers. The modular system for high-speed applications allows individual cables to be replaced quickly and easily. The e-skin flat simply sheds its skin to reveal the cable that needs replacing, replace and close. It is that simple.

Captive fasteners prevent loss to speed up manufacturing processes

Captive fasteners prevent loss to speed up manufacturing processes

WDS Components has released a new range of loss-preventing captive fasteners that speed up manufacturing assembly and make marine and working at height applications easier to manage. The fasteners span a wide range of thread diameters and also increase operational safety by preventing the removal and loss of machine safety guards. Highly durable 316 stainless steel means that the captive fasteners are suitable for use across all application environments.

Containment grade coating with enhanced flexibility

Containment grade coating with enhanced flexibility

In numerous industries, concrete is used to build secondary chemical containment areas and bunds. The function of these structures is to retain spilled chemicals, facilitate product recovery, and prevent environmental contamination, as required by environmental and safety regulations. While concrete is a cost-effective and sturdy material, it is susceptible to physical and chemical damage due to its porosity. Concrete walls and floors are prone to damages caused by cracking, increased porosity, reinforcing bar corrosion, and chemical attack.
