Consistent electrical earthing

Consistent electrical earthing

A newly developed self-piercing nut from Profil provides high strength location and consistent electrical earthing of components in sheet metal assemblies. Suitable for panels up to 2.00mm thick - and offering substantial piece part cost and installation speed advantages over competitive products such as riveted studs, threaded pegs, captive nuts or welded anchors - Profil's new RSR nut is an ideal choice for vehicle assembly, electrical equipment and domestic appliance applications.

Wave spring sheds light on an airline dilemma

Wave spring sheds light on an airline dilemma

TFC recently aided with the development of an LED lighting component used by passenger airlines British Airways and Virgin Atlantic, by supplying a Smalley Crest to Crest Wave spring which fits into the arm mechanism of the light unit. The spring is used to pre-load an arm with the LED light on the end. The design allows the component to be fitted in a confined space or to be stowed away.

Diaphragm valve for UV adhesives

Diaphragm valve for UV adhesives

Dispensing of UV adhesive is a subject close to the hearts of the people at Intertronics so they are pleased to introduce the new DV509-UV-LF. This diaphragm valve dispenser comes from the same stable at I&J Fisnar as the pneumatic controller which makes this such an easy to use package, especially for UV curing resins. The valve's high cycling rate of 200 per minute makes it ideal for automated systems in all industries.

New approach to high volume epoxy sealing

New approach to high volume epoxy sealing

Multi-Seals offers an innovative alternative to liquid epoxy for high-volume, high-quality epoxy sealing applications. Uni-form epoxy preforms are one-part epoxy resins that are solid at room temperature. When heated, Uni-forms melt and cure, forming a consistent seal that protects components from dust, moisture, oil, flux, solvents, conformal coatings, and other contaminants.

Rapid curing adhesive has non-yellowing properties

Rapid curing adhesive has non-yellowing properties

Master Bond EP30-4 is a transparent, low viscosity fast curing adhesive, sealant and coating. It is especially recommended for applications requiring rapid cure without adding external heat. When EP30-4 is spread in films thin as 0.025in, it will become tack free in as little as 30 minutes. This makes it ideal for use as a conformal coating where heating the components or substrate is not possible.
